Our Instant Cash line of credit provides automatic overdraft protection, transferring cash whenever you inadvertently overdraw your checking account. Your line of credit can also serve as an immediate source of funds. You can access your Instant Cash line of credit by writing a check, using your VISA Check Card or ATM card or by obtaining a cash advance at any of our convenient branch locations.
You may apply for this line of credit at any branch location. There are no application or usage fees for this service. Finance charges only apply when your line of credit has an outstanding balance (subject to credit approval).
You also have the option to link your checking account to other bank accounts, including checking, savings, money market accounts and home equity lines. Please note that withdrawals from savings and money market accounts, including automatic overdraft transfers to checking, are limited by federal regulation to six per month.
As a courtesy to our personal checking customers, we offer an overdraft service called “Overdraft Privilege” to eligible account holders. With Overdraft Privilege, if you inadvertently overdraw your account, we will cover the overdraft, up to a predetermined limit, instead of returning your item(s) to the payee. Please note that standard Overdraft/NSF fees apply. The fee we charge you for paying the overdraft, however, is the same fee you would be charged if we returned the overdraft item unpaid. By providing this service, we help protect your credit profile and you avoid the embarrassment of a returned check as well as any additional fees imposed by the merchant. Accounts will be charged the standard Overdraft fee of $35.00 for handling each overdraft created by check, ACH, Point-of-Sale, ATM withdrawal, in-person withdrawal or other electronic item that is paid and $35.00 for items returned. An overdrawn balance must be repaid within 30 days. We may not pay items under your overdraft privilege if you do not maintain your account in good standing by bringing your account balance to a positive balance within every 30-day period for a minimum period of 24 hours, if you default on any loan or other obligation to Yadkin Valley Bank or if your account is subject to any legal or administrative order or levy. Transactions may not be processed in the order in which they occurred and that the order in which transactions are received and processed may impact the total amount of fees incurred.
Although Overdraft Privilege is automatically available on checks and electronic overdrafts (i.e., direct draft, e-bill pay) for eligible customers, new regulations require banks to obtain express permission from the accountholder to pay overdrafts caused by ATM and everyday debit card transactions.
This valuable service may prevent you from having your ATM and debit card transactions declined for insufficient funds in case of financial emergencies, unexpected expenses, or account balancing errors. There are no fees for opting in. You will only be charged a fee if an overdraft occurs.
